Mens Tournament Rules

  • Tournament will commence from 23rd Nov 2024, Matches will be held on Saturday Only.
  • No outsiders are allowed, Player should be an employee of Dotsquares Only.
  • Players should be belongs to Dotsquares Only
  • Every team should have at least minimum 14 Players and Max 15 Players allowed
  • League and Quarter Final matches will be of 15 Overs (Max 3 overs per bowler).
  • Semis and Final will be of 20 Overs (Max 4 overs per bowler).
  • Match players should reach 30 mins prior to match timings. if any team won’t be able to come ,walkover will be given to other team or overs will be reduced.
  • Extra Runs Wide, No Ball, Over throw, Bye, Leg Bye
  • One player can play only from one team
  • All type of No Ball will create Free-Hit on next ball
  • No Runner. (*Runner is allowed, if both the umpires and captain of opponent team are mutually agreed)
  • After 2 Beamers a bowler is not allowed to bowl further in that match
  • Net run rate will be calculated by cricheroes app
  • In the 15 overs match first 4 overs and in 20 overs match first 6 overs of an innings (mandatory power play) the fielding team must have at least 7 fielders + 1 Keeper+ 1 Bowler as fielders inside the 30-yard circle.
  • Fielders under restrictions have to be within the 30-yard circle at the time the ball is delivered.
  • There can be no more than five fielders on the leg side at any time. Means 6 fielders in leg side including bowler will be marked as No-ball.
  • The umpires shall ensure all the above rules are met. Any infringement of any of the above rules must result in that delivery being called a no-ball.
  • Umpires are not professionals and they are similar to us. They will try to give good decision. Umpire Decision is last and final (In case of any confliction, Tournament Management decision would be treat as a final decision)
  • As Umpire and Scorer belongs to the particular Team and they will be organising the matches of other teams, if Umpire or Scorer does not organise the Matches then Management can suggest a penalty to the Umpire’s or Scorer’s Team. For an example Umpire or Scorer belongs to TEAM X (X, Y and Z is just reference here) and Umpire or Scorer gets the responsibility to organise the Match in between TEAM Y v/s Team Z but If they fail to organise then TEAM X can face the penalty on upcoming matches.
  • Umpires and Management reserves the right of decision incase of any conflict
  • If someone does not maintain the decorum during the match, he will be "BANNED" for the same match and if he found again not maintaining the decorum then can be "BANNED" for full tournament
  • Expecting all the teams to maintain the decorum during the matches, failed to do so will result as "BANNED" for next match (applies to whole team).
  • The player can only change when players leave the company or injured. Also, need to submit the valid proof
  • Players replacement can be considered in special conditions but It will be maximum 2 times and for 3 players only.
  • Player swaps are not allowed after team registration, so please double-check your team list carefully before submitting it.
  • If the player is not available in the ground then with minimum available players need to start the match. For e.g. at 7.30 to 7.40. 5 mins more consideration in case of very urgent and phone call. 5 mins term is not applicable if anything is not urgent. Minimum 9 players requried to start the match.
  • Also, the available players need to join the match before team 5 overs played. After that players will not be allowed to join the team on that match.
  • If any player or team creates any kind of RUKUS then Umpires/Management can suggest a penalty in terms as following, like expel that player or team or adding some extra runs to the opponent’s final score or reducing some overs of team which creating issues/ etc.
  • Please try to join the office on time if you free or you don't have any match.
  • In a limited-overs game, a fast bowler is only allowed to bowl a maximum of one bouncer per over.
  • As this tournament is organization’s Event and we expect responsibility from everyone in terms of accountability, Every TEAM will submit the at least three scorers and three umpire names at the time of submitting the TEAM. It will be the sole responsibility of the UMPIREs and SCORERs to start the match without any kind of delay.
  • If any team (with FULL SQUAD) does not appear to play a match as per schedule then the whole team will be expelled from the tournament and Team’s Captain (or whole team) will be paying the FULL DAY Ground Fee as a Fine of that particular day. If multiple teams does not appear then each Team’s Captain (or whole team) will be paying the FULL Ground fee of that particular day.
  • As this tournament is organization’s Event and we expect responsibility from everyone in terms of accountability, Every TEAM will submit the at least three scorers and three umpire names at the time of submitting the TEAM. It will be the sole responsibility of the UMPIREs and SCORERs to start the match without any kind of delay.
  • Fanti/Scoop bat not allowed, only normal cricket bats are allowed in the match.
  • NOTE: Consumption of alcohol is STRICTLY PROHIBITED at the venue. Any such act will be treated with ZERO tolerance.

Womens Tournament Rules

  • Each team will field 8 players (including the wicketkeeper) during the game.
  • Every team will play 2 matches in the league stage.
  • Matches will consist of 10 overs per team in the league phase.
  • The top 2 teams will advance to the final, determined by win count and net run rate as applicable.
  • In each 10-over game, 2 bowlers are permitted to bowl a maximum of 3 overs each.
  • Throw bowling is allowed; underarm bowling is not allowed.
  • No powerplay.
  • All types of extras are allowed.
  • Boundaries will be decided on match day with the mutual consent of umpires and management.
  • The ball will be a green tennis ball.
  • If the ball touches the roof/top and someone catches it, the player will not be considered out, but they can take runs.
  • The pitch length will be 18 yards.
  • A drink break will be allowed after 5 overs, with a maximum duration of 5 minutes.
  • The match should finish in 1 hour, and each inning should finish in 30 minutes.
  • Player swapping between teams is not allowed, and players can only be changed with valid reasons.
  • Only employees of Dotsquares are allowed to participate; no outsiders are allowed.
  • Players must be from Dotsquares only.
  • The final match will also be 10 overs.
  • Players should arrive 30 minutes prior to the match timing. If a team fails to arrive, a walkover will be given to the other team or overs will be reduced.
  • Any type of no-ball will result in a free-hit on the next ball.
  • Net run rate will be calculated using the CricHeroes app.
  • After 2 beamers, a bowler is not allowed to bowl further in that match.
  • Umpires are not professionals and are similar to the players. They will try to make fair decisions. The umpire's decision is final, and in case of any conflict, the tournament management’s decision will be considered final.
  • Players replacement can be considered in special conditions but It will be maximum 2 times and for 3 players only.

Womens Final Match Rules

  • Each team will field 11 players (including the wicketkeeper) during the game.
  • Matches will consist of 10 overs.
  • In each 10-over game, 2 bowlers are permitted to bowl a maximum of 3 overs each.
  • Throw bowling is allowed; underarm bowling is not allowed.
  • 2 overs of powerplay are included.
  • All types of extras (no-balls, wides, etc.) are allowed.
  • Boundaries will be decided on match day with the mutual consent of umpires and management.
  • The ball will be a green tennis ball.
  • The pitch length will be 18 yards.
  • A drink break will be allowed after 5 overs, with a maximum duration of 5 minutes.
  • The match should finish in 2 hours, with each inning completed in 1 hour.
  • Players should arrive 30 minutes prior to the match timing. If a team fails to arrive, a walkover will be given to the other team, or overs will be reduced.
